- Dr Ainley trained in Gastroenterology at St Thomas’ University College and the Middlesex Hospital. He has been a Consultant in General Medicine and Gastroenterology at Barts and the London Hospitals since 1989. His clinical practice includes general gastroenterology and endoscopy. His areas of interest are neurogastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease and pancreatico-biliary disease. Personal interests are theatre, distance running and squash. He has also been named as one of Britain’s Top 250 private doctors by Tatler Magazine since 2005.
