Do I need a GP (General Practitioner) referral?
Sometimes, you will need to see a GP before you can be referred to one of our hospitals. This may be because you need a diagnosis. Also, if you are using private medical insurance your insurer will often need you to have a GP referral before they can pay for the cost of treatment.
How can I find a GP?
If you are a UK resident you should already be registered with an NHS GP. When you visit your GP you should tell them that you want to be treated privately and they will write the appropriate referral letters. You don’t have to nominate a consultant or hospital for a referral. If you need a list of recommended private GP’s near you, please contact us on:
