The HCA breast screen
The following screening programme is designed for women over the age of 40 years:
Patients receive a breast care awareness pack.
A specially qualified radiographer conducts a digital mammogram which will provide a detailed image of the breast tissue.
A written report is prepared and sent to the patient’s GP - this will normally be within 10 days. The GP will make contact with the patient in the event that any follow-up is required.
Clinics and locations
Diagnosis and care for your employees is based at the hospitals highlighted in pink. Appointments can be booked at short notice, sometimes for the following day and some clinics are held during the evenings. For details of clinics.
